Appointments with Nurse practitioners on a planned basis very good but appointments with doctors seem not existent unless you know you're going to be unwell 6 weeks in advance.
Thank you we value and encourage patient feedback. We have increased the number of face to face appointments that our patients can assess, whilst maintaining the option for telephone consultations. When all our appointments are taken our reception staff will direct patients to 111, this national helpline is open 24 hours, 7 days a week to support primary care. This is a triage service which then gets patients to get the right advice or treatment they need. All patients that are re-directed back to the GPs are then seen as extra patients outside of the appointments available for that day. Enhanced access is also available across Sheffield at evening and weekends at the HUBS across the city. Our clinical space is filled to the maximum capacity, the waiting room area therefore offers easy access for patients to come down to the surgery to take blood pressure and weight, a privacy screen is in place. We also have a patient group that are always looking for new members, if you would like more information and to get involved, click Patient Participation Group - Ecclesfield Group Practice (ecclesfieldgp.co.uk) Michelle Payling Practice Manager
The doctor was so helpful, she answered all my questions and checked on things she needed to before medication was offered.
She was so kind and patient and I'm always so grateful for the treatment I'm offered at eccelsfield group practice.
We've needed a lot of medical help over the last 12 months. It's always been possible to obtain help as quickly as possible under the current extremely difficult circumstances.
It was a telephone appointment booked for future which I have never been able to get at my previous surgery. Dr seemed interested abd listened again not what I have had from my previous surgery, so glad I moved practices
Receptionist was very helpful sorting my missing item from a prescription sent to chemist. Asked her about another query and she went away and came back with an answer and also a contact number re my referral
We have listened to our patient’s feedback and understand it can be frustrating when waiting in a queue on the telephone, we now offer a telephone call back system, we are hoping this will make the process of contacting the surgery easier.
